A safe space with digital content for people to learn about cancer, share, and support
Fuck Cancer is dedicated to early detection, prevention and providing support to those affected by cancer. They do all these initiatives through digital content, programs, events, and funding research that will change the way people think and talk about cancer and ultimately improve health outcomes.
Yael Cohen Braun founded Fuck Cancer in 2009 after her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, while Julie Greenbaum created F*ck Cancer in 2010 in honor of her mother who lost her life to ovarian cancer. Julie began organizing events to raise funds and awareness for cancer research.
Since 2009, the two organizations have raised over $2+ million towards cancer research and digital tools.
Fuck Cancer will maintain its founders strong and irreverent tone that first sparked both movements, but looks to grow with its community by adopting a more mature and sophisticated voice to create a lasting impact in the cancer space.
